AmeriCosmos features NY based multi-instrumentalist Matt Venuti creating a live, improvised soundtrack for breathtaking footage that he filmed throughout the US. At an opportune time, the footage ascends into Space, and a cosmic journey ensues, enhanced by NASA and Webb telescope imagery. Matt plays an array of rare electronic and acoustic instruments and creates lush arrangements with the aid of a looping device. AmeriCosmos has enraptured audiences nationwide in theaters, planetariums, art centers and a diverse range of venues. Venuti is an award-winning singer/songwriter and composer known for his original music using rare and expressive acoustic and electronic instruments that he was among the first to explore.
