One that shapes the survivals of her progeny, her legacy, in the dynamic landscape of Central India. One that she will defend with her life, even at the cost of her own existence.Story of a forgotten icon, Bloodline is a story of Madhuri or tiger (T10), the the grand matriarch of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. The story takes us deep into the forests of Central India, at the heartland of India’s Tiger Capital. In recent years, reports denote an upward trend in central India tiger population, but the increasing numbers stack up against a shrinking landscape. Loss of habitat, rapidly fragmented corridors and prey pools coupled with surplus tiger populations paints a contrasting picture: A harsh reality to an expanding lineage of these magnificent cats. Mother Tigers have never had it tougher to raise their cubs. The film follows an extraordinary journey of Madhuri’s life and her progeny, in an ultimate battle for survival and the safety of her precious. From her prime, to her decline and present day comeback, the film captures her journey, and witness new unfolding behaviors that enable a deeper understanding about tigers never observed before. Filmed over a span of 7 years this film shows the character arc of tigress Madhuri, and throws light on the lives of the Royal Bengal Tigers magnificent cats have to endure as their numbers outgrow . This film highlights her characteristic daughters from her Bloodline that are some of the most well known tigresses in Tadoba today. *Attending Filmmakers: Jaxon Derow (Vanishing Oasis) Community Partner: Friends of Family Farmers Action Event: Talk by Friends of Family Farmers following film session @ Eugene Art House About Friends of Family Farmers, the Oregon Pasture Network, and their 2025 policy priority to increase funding for ODA state meat inspectors.
